At the December 10, 2018 LAFCo meeting, the Commission directed staff to author a letter to CAL FIRE to express concern regarding the impacts of increasing training requirements for volunteer firefighters, which is a limiting factor for those agencies that rely entirely on volunteers and is severely impacting Plumas fire providers.
